The 2022-2023 year marked the second year for the YSU rocket Club to attend the Spaceport America Cup. The team had one goal in mind, to reach 10,000 feet. To do this, a decision to change the body diameter of the rocket down to 5.5 inches was reached. Along with this, further work into designing an airbrake system was performed. This new airbrake system was designed with modularity in mind. Allowing for the rocket to fly without the airbrake while not affecting aerodynamics.
